HMS Juno was an Eclipse-class cruiser of the Royal Navy, built in the mid-1980s, that left England in 1915 for the Mediterranean, Persian Gulf and points further east. In July 1917 she was alongside in Kuwait, where the weather can be brutally hot in the summer and where Herbert Grist died from an unspecified illness, possibly heatstroke, on 31st July. |
